Patreon: A Win-Win Situation

Hey, all!

For the past few months, I've been working on my Patreon page so that I can earn ongoing revenue through fans, supporters, and arts patrons. With Patreon, those who wish can pledge a certain amount of money each month, anywhere between $1-$50/mo., in exchange for special access to my work, hand-crafted gifts, and more as my way of saying "thank you."

Here are two examples of some gifts that patrons can expect.

Though the page launched a little while ago, it hasn't gained a whole lot of traction, having only three patrons so far (one being my dad and another being my mother-in-law). I'd love to hear feedback from each of you on how I might be able to make it better. Some things you might look for are:

  • Does everything make sense? Is it clear what Patreon is and what fans get out of joining my community?

  • What do you think of the rewards? Are they fair? Any in particular stand out as things you would join Patreon for? Any that you don't see that you would like to that might convince you to join?

  • Is there anyone you think I should connect with to help spread the word as I try to get more traction?

Thank you so much for letting me know what you think! I'm so excited to be getting this off the ground and couldn't do it without the support of friends like you!

I'll be sending out an email to my mailing list in a week or two, so feel free to add your email here ( https://www.mikemerrillcomposer.com/ ) if you'd like to stay in the know.

I can't wait to incorporate your feedback into my final page!

Cheers, all!
